Asymmetrical threats such as terrorism or modern piracy are forcing many countries to reconsider their strategies and revise their concepts for equipping their naval forces. Sonar Systems 

Not only concepts but concrete system chains from the sensor to the shooter are available to users. For sensors this means, among others, the entire range of active and passive sonars from the classical bow sonar to modern towed sonars. These low frequency active towed sonar systems open a new dimension in submarine hunting. The achieved ranges of these active location systems are so high that they can exceed the range of a torpedo fired from a submarine. This way the former hunters – the submarines – very quickly become the hunted.

Command and Weapon Control Systems 

Command and weapon control systems for surface ships are also part of the already mentioned sensor to shooter chain. ANCS (Atlas Naval Combat Management System) , the combat system of the latest generation, can be adapted to all customer requirements without problems due to its modular design and has all required interfaces to sensors, shooters, and communication facilities which in turn ensure its integration in a full Network Centric Warfare (NCW) configuration.

Torpedoes

When we think of the shooter, the integration of all conceivable systems is possible: from the „SeaSpider“, a cost effective anti-torpedo torpedo with a hardkill effector, to the integration of weapons from other manufacturers. Open system architectures and a lot of experience in programming interfaces in all cases ensure the guaranteed future of ATLAS systems.
