Winnenden, March 2006 – At the international "Commandants' Conference" which was held by the NBC and Self Protection School of the Federal German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) in Sonthofen from March 6 to 10, Kärcher Futuretech presented trailer-mounted and containerised decontamination and water purification systems.
Product Manager Eberhard Fauser presented a comprehensive system for the purification, storage and distribution of drinking water to commanders from 25 nations, with the mobile WTC 1600 GT water purification unit and the containerised Waterclean 6000 BW. Both systems use the chemical-free purification process of the reverse osmosis. This way, even NBC contaminated water can be transformed into drinking water using the double-pass mode. The Kärcher Product Manager did not end his explanations without referring to water bottling in the field and the highly innovative Water Bottling Plant 700 developed by Kärcher Futuretech. In the WBP 700, PET bottles with a capacity of 1 litre are produced from small light-weight preforms in the field. The bottles are filled with fresh purified drinking water, capped and labelled under hygienic conditions. The system makes the logistical effort decisively easier for the field camp and saves the often enormous costs for personnel, fuel, trucks and convoy accompanying vehicles.
In the segment of NBC protection systems, Product Manager Rainer Mühleisen was not able to present the TEP 90 itself. The compact highly mobile full-decontamination system, which is equipped with the latest decontamination technologies, was still on its way back from the “cold” field test in icy Canada. The core of the TEP 90 is a hydraulic crane system with the help of which the decontamination of all kinds of vehicles can be carried out effectively also from the top.
In lieu of the TEP 90, the Product Manager had brought along a rich variety of decontamination solutions such as Decocontain 3000 GDS, Deconjet-Trailer 2000, AMGDS 2000 and DS 10 for the "Commandants' Conference" in Sonthofen. The containerised Decocontain 3000 GDS includes the technical basis for setting up a complete decontamination site and enables the simultaneous decontamination of material (vehicles), persons and personal equipment. An integrated 3,000 litre tank allows for independent decontamination missions. The highly mobile Deconjet-Trailer 2000 is a rapid intervention decontamination system suitable for vehicles, material and persons. The AMGDS 2000 serves as an application module for the GDS 2000, a highly effective decontamination solution against all known C warfare agents, which ensures decontamination in a very short time and is even biologically degradable. Rainer Mühleisen presented a portable alternative decontamination system with the DS 10 decontamination sprayer with integrated mixing device. It is suitable for the application of cleaning, disinfection or neutralisation agents used for the decontamination of material. SafeguardTM 3002-A1, the first real combat suit with integrated NBCF protection, provides the soldiers with excellent protection against radioactive fallout and biological and chemical warfare agents due to its high-performance activated carbon fabric. Summarising the part played by Kärcher Futuretech at the "Commandants' Conference", Managing Director Helmut Stelzmüller said "It was a pleasure for us to present our systems, which contain a large variety of new technologies and which are of importance to the agencies concerned, to an international VIP audience“.
Kärcher Futuretech plans, develops and produces systems and devices that help to solve the problems of the future. Kärcher Futuretech Systems with their patented, forward-looking problem solutions are in daily use within more than 100 armed forces, civil defence and relief organisations all over the world.
